10 Things I'm Grateful For In 2020 So Far!

Today I would like to take the time to spread a little sunshine here on my blog. This is where you should be smiling to yourself by now. Gotcha! Did you look outside and saw how blue the sky is, or maybe by the time you’re reading this it could be raining and cloudy or it could even be pitch black. But one thing we can agree on is if you could see it at all we have to give thanks for those eyes, right?

Yes! Now I can share with you ten (10) things I’m grateful for since 2020 has started. And yes, I know it may not have been good since March for the United Kingdom but we have to be honest and say that January we all had high hopes for the year. Most of us were very excited, very ambitious, and looking forward to this once in a lifetime moment 20 years after the millennium. I mean some people thought that the world would have ended in 2000! But look how far we’ve come? Thank God for unlimited internet access!

So without further ado here we go!

Number one: Faith

I gotta start my list with this one because if it wasn’t for it I don’t know where I’d be. If it wasn't for my faith I don't know what I would do, how I'd cope, and how I'd respond to bad news.

Number two: Friends

Yes, we all need them. To give me a word of encouragement and even when I'm running at 100 miles per hour like a headless chicken with a decision that isn't good for me. I'm grateful for my friends. I don't have many but the few I do have. I'm grateful for you. (You know who you are) I could have made a few decisions that I would be regretting right now if I didn't seek their advice.

Number Three: More Internet Access

I said more there because if it wasn't for the more I would have missed out on some important information I now have. If it wasn't for more I would not have learned the skills I've gained over the past few months.

Number Four: Networking Opportunities

I must say 2020 has been very good to me when it comes to networking opportunities. I have met some amazing people so far. They have added to my life in so many ways I could not have imagined. They have taught me things I never knew before and have therefore directed me on to others who can also help me.

Number Five: Walks In The Park

Yes, I had to put this here because prior to 2020 I had no interest in taking a stroll to my local park unless it was a short cut to my destination. However, now I'm giving it a rightful place because it has helped me to be more appreciative of my surroundings and nature in general. I now love to have a stroll and just absorb and enjoy the natural beauty around me. In essence, it has also helped me to keep my mind clear and in tune with my reality.

Number six: Fruits In My Fruit Bowl

I even laugh at myself writing this here but as silly as it is. Seeing fruits in my fruit bowl makes me very happy. It encourages me to continue having a balanced and healthy lifestyle and not be tempted to reach for the ice cream. (if it's not too hot though)

Number seven: Going Off The Calendar

I'm grateful I've lived long enough to now be officially off the calendar. I know I still have some growing up to do but physically would be a plus too. If anyone is in the human-growing-taller business, let me know.

Number eight: Music

This has to be here. Listening to uplifting music is so crucial. You know those ones you can dance to and laugh at yourself? Yes, that one. I'm sure you have a favorite jam too. Go on. Put it on and be grateful you can move to it. Even if it's a foot tap.

Number nine: Time Freedom

This has been the most important thing for me so far. Having more of it has helped me to invest in all the above so far. I feel as though since the year has begun it has been an investing period. Now that the second half of the year is now here, I'm excited that it will be reaping time. I'm expectant.

Number ten: Life!

If I had no breath in my lungs, what would be there to celebrate? Since the year began many have lost their lives. The thing is we don't know when this event will take place. But until then, let's be grateful and live each day with gratitude in our hearts, be kind to ourselves and those around us in deed and in words.

So there you have it. The 10 things I'm grateful for so far in 2020. There are a few other things I would love to add to this list but we'll have to wait until 2021 so we can look back together and celebrate. You with me? What are you grateful for so far? Until next time.
