Is Desperation Getting The Best Of You?

Happy October dear friends! Can you imagine we now have 12x weeks to finish 2020? It still feels like April to me.

Maybe it's because that is when everything seemed to come to a standstill.

But anyway, I was thinking about this recently how in the past I was going through a rough moment in my life and those were the moments when I had the desire to do the total opposite of what I knew was right. I won't go into detail about it here but it's just an example for you to remember that every one of us experience times of desperation.

I mean, the type of despair when you feel like you don't want today to end because you don't know what tommorow will bring, the type of despair where you feel as though if this one thing doesn't come through for you then your life would turn out to be a big disgrace to those around you.

You know what I'm talking about, right? I'm not saying you should bash yourself for thinking like this. Because thoughts comes to all of us. The difference between those who come out fighting and those who come out defeated are the one who choose to listen to those negative words and suggestions and those who reject them straight away.

I'm telling you dear friends with every situation we face on this earth. The battle is not against the people you see, it's not against the system, it's not against governments, it's not against the law but it's against the one thing that is waging war between our ears. Let me give you some time to think what that is, Yes, it's our mind!

If you win the battle in your mind you will definitely reap the rewards of your persistence. I've listened to a few motivational speakers and to tell you the truth they break down the same words of the Bible in a way that people will understand.

You see there is something spiritual about the way we use faith. And faith can be for anything and can be in anything. I can put my faith in man for example because I believe that he will do what he says he will do, or I can put my faith in myself because I have the experience to execute a specific task, or I can put my faith in the Supernatural and also believe that God will take control of the things I don't have control over.

I have chosen the latter above all.

What about you? I would love to challenge you to put your faith in God and yourself too. Because there's no point believing in God and walking around with that defeated look on your face. Listening to those thoughts that have been causing you to despair, which lead you to be doing the wrong things out of desperation. Believe in yourself!

You see, I love a little motivation boost myself sometimes. But nothing compares to knowing that the Creator of the universe is still watching over me, He's still protecting me and He's still providing for me. As long as I continue to acknowledging Him as first place in my life. He wants to do the same for you, but YOU will have to give Him the permission to do so.

Would you like a stranger to come inside your home without you inviting them? Of course not! You would call the police or you might be tempted to take matters in your own hands which isn't the right thing to do either. It's the same with Jesus, unless you invite Him in your situation His hands are tied. He can do nothing for you. Not because He doesn't want to.

Until next time.
