My dear readers, forgive me for posting this today, some things came up which I had to attend to urgently. But thank God it is all sorted now, so let us get back to business. Let's continue to uplift and inspire each other!
I remember it was in 2016 I had previously started working at my job for almost one year at that point. It was originally meant to be a maternity cover and I knew that I would have to start looking for another job very soon because the lady was planning to return.
I was in HR almost every week asking and checking if I'll be let go or what my options were because I had moved out a few months prior and I needed to be thinking about how I'll be paying my way for my newfound independence.
I had taken a whole week's holiday from work and decided to use that week to focus on my job search. A friend of mine put a word in for me and I was called in for an interview. But I didn't get that job. Purely because I felt it was way too far for me to travel on a daily basis and I didn't want that to be a constant issue. So I had to keep looking.
Fast forward to the Friday before I was due to return to work. I got paid my salary it was payday for me. So I decided I would sow a seed on the Altar and trusted that God would do something. Because I had done all I could up until that point and nothing seems to be working. No good news was coming my way.
On the following Monday, I returned to work. My manager was very early. He was at the office on a day where he wasn't meant to be, which I thought was very strange.
He came over to my desk and asked me if I would be willing to take up my role Full-Time on a permanent basis. Guys, I almost fell out of my chair! I wouldn't need to worry about anything because the job would be there for me for as long as I wanted it.
My manager offered me the role. I couldn't believe it. A few weeks prior to that, I was so worried about not being able to find another job and look, I didn't need to worry about it anymore. I made my vow on that Friday and 3x days later I got the most unexpected answer I could have expected. Technically, I was jobless and then I was no longer looking for work because I already had one, permanently!
I must say, it wasn't easy but God provided my every need and He's been providing for me ever since. So my encouragement for you today is this: If you decide to trust God that He will never go back on His word. He will come through for you too. Whatever it is you're believing and praying for.
Whether its a new job, a partner, a changed spouse, or more opportunities. It's possible! Don't look at the situation with your physical eyes, look at it with faith and determination that change will indeed come, in the most unexpected way.
My testimony was 4 years ago, and you know what? God is still answering prayers, His hands are not in #Lockdown, and they will never be! Until next time.
