What Happens When Mr Perfect Shows Up?

Shout out to @tamarcusbrown on Pinterest for this photo!

He is everything you've ever dreamed of.

He showers you with attention, so much so, you start to think if he ever have time to do anything else.

He is handsome, He is the most good looking guy that ever laid eyes on you, and you think to yourself, do you deserve him?

You admire the way he listens to you, you could even hear a pin drop because he's taking in. Every. Single. Word. You. Say. And he remembers them too.

The words that comes from his mouth are so appealing, they're so endearing they sweep you off your feet, leaving you thinking you're floating in mid air or you start to think you're actually already in Heaven. Wow!

Am I forgetting to add anything else? Let me think for a second...Hmm...Of course! How could I forget the plans he has for you both? He thinks ahead. How admirable? His sentences are full of words which shows how much he desires to include you in his future. They start to sounds like: you and me, us and we.

You are already thinking this is who you've been waiting for your while life. But wait a minute. We have forgotten the most important aspects for a relationship to last if we say we want to live a life that is pleasing to God and to mirror His love to this world.

Did he ever mention if he had someone to whom he reports to? Whether a mentor, God or both for that matter.

Did he ever mention that he would cherish your boundaries and respect your body until the right time comes? If indeed you're the one God has for him?

Did he ever mention in his plans what he wants to do with his life in the future rather than just thinking of the here and now?

Did he ever share his desire for family and express how he is with his current relatives before he starts a family for himself with you?

Did he ever encourage you to use your faith and stay close to Jesus when things don't go the way you want?

Did he ever reassure you with his actions that you are safe in his arms and he won't ever hurt you with them?

And are you able to walk away if God should ever tell you that he's not the one He prepared for you? Even if your answers to all these questions were to be yes.

There are times when God allow people in our lives to teach us lessons that some how no one else could ever taught us, times when nothing else could have molded us.

But in His lovingkindness He puts us through situations we never dreamed of just so He could teach us that in all our search for something. The only One that can give us what our souls yearns and desires for is He Himself.

I hope this post has blessed you and have helped you to consider your own experiences. God always wants the best for us, but we have to be willing to trust that His best is always worth the wait.

Nothing good ever comes prepared in haste. It takes time, effort, sweat and sometimes even some tears.

So remain faithful and expectant.

Until next time.
